7th China-Brazil Economic Development Strategic Dialogue Online Seminar successfully held
On December 3, 2025, the 7th China-Brazil Economic Development Strategic Dialogue Online Seminar, co-organized by Tsinghua University’s Academic Center for Chinese Economic Practice and Thinking (ACCEPT) and Vale S.A. (Vale), was successfully held online.
Zhu Guangyao, former Vice Minister of China’s Ministry of Finance Zhang Xiaoqiang, former Vice Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission as well as Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE); Marcos Galvão, Brazilian Ambassador to China; Luciana Brum, General Manager of External Affairs at Vale; and David Daokui Li, Director of Tsinghua ACCEPT and Co-President of the Society for the Analysis of Government and Economics (SAGE), each delivered keynote addresses, respectively. Marcos Caramuru, former Brazilian Ambassador to China; Claudia Trevisan, Executive Director of the Brazil-China Business Council (CEBC); Tatiana Prazeres, Director of the Foreign Trade Department at Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services; Dai Yuanqing, Chief Technology Officer of Knowledge Atlas Technology Joint Stock Co., Ltd. (Z.ai); Xu Zhiwei, Vice President and Head of International Business at Kuaishou Technology; and Leandro Viana, General Manager of Innovation at Vale; along with other esteemed guests, participated in the roundtable discussion and delivered addresses. Li Ke’aobo, Executive Deputy Director of Tsinghua ACCEPT, presided over the seminar, while Tracy Xie, President of Vale China, also offered up concluding remarks to bring the event to a close.
The guests in attendance discussed various topics that revolved around ongoing international disputes over trade tariffs, in addition to exploring available avenues for deepening China-Brazil economic and trade cooperation as well as new patterns for enhancing China-Brazil collaboration in an era marked by rapid advances in science and technology.
