Delegation from the Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visits Tsinghua ACCEPT

On February 28, 2025, a delegation from the Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China visited the Academic Center for Chinese Economic Practice and Thinking (ACCEPT) at Tsinghua University, and engaged in a comprehensive discussion on public diplomacy with Li Ke’aobo, Executive Deputy Director of Tsinghua ACCEPT.

The two sides entered into extensive exchanges of views on topics such as how to strengthen international communication capabilities and enhance China's voice in global governance. Li Ke’aobo presented Tsinghua ACCEPT’s latest research results in the areas of macroeconomic policy and international economic relations, in addition to describing the unique role that academic institutions can play in the field of public diplomacy. The representatives from the Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed their utmost support for the contributions made by the research institute, conveying their interest in further strengthening cooperation in the future and working collaboratively towards promoting the international dissemination of China's voice. The informal dialogue, moreover, provided a number of new ideas for deepening the integration of theory and practice in the field of public diplomacy.
