Representatives of the China Bicycle Association visit Tsinghua ACCEPT

This month, Liu Suwen, chairman of the China Bicycle Association, accompanied core members of the association in a visit to the Academic Center for Chinese Economic Practice and Thinking (ACCEPT) at Tsinghua University, where they entered into an exchange and informal discussions with Director David DaokuiLi and Executive Deputy Director Li Ke’aobo to probe into the future trajectory of development for the electric bicycle (e-bike) industry, including how to jointly promote the industry’s orderly construction and spur on its healthy development. 

 
During the meeting, Chairman Liu reviewed some of the important tasks that the China Bicycle Association has undertaken in recent years to foster the development of the industry. Both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on the future development of the bicycle and e-bike industries. In the face of consumers' variegated needs for improved safety, convenience and comfort, strengthened technological research and development and improvements to product quality remain the most decisive avenues for promoting the continued high-quality development of the industry. At the same time, the reasonable formulation and implementation of industry standards and the advancement of progress towards market standardization are also critically important measures to help protect the rights and interests of consumers while encouraging the sound development of the industry.
