Video Replay: The Sixth Annual Conference of Government and Economics
Government actions and behavior can have a far-reaching impact on an economy’s performance, with China's major achievements during its period of reform and opening up having also benefited from the continuous evolution of the relationship between government and the market economy. Based on this economic experience and practice, government and economics has emerged to become an increasingly influential academic research field in economics. In order to further our understanding of government and economics, Tsinghua University’s Academic Center for Chinese Economic Practice and Thinking (ACCEPT) and the Society for the Analysis of Government and Economics (SAGE) will convene the Sixth Annual Conference of Government and Economics, jointly organized with Tsinghua University’s School of Social Sciences, to be held on April 27, 2024 (Saturday) in the Shunde Building on campus at Tsinghua University.
This conference aims to bring together internationally renowned scholars to continue exploring the practice and thinking embodied in China's economic development, adopting the perspectives of economics to study the relationship between government and the market economy. By summarizing the economic thinking behind the experience and practice of China's economic development, and refining these insights into new knowledge that can then be taken up and integrated into the academic world of economics, it is hoped that the international community will come to develop a better appreciation and more accurate understanding of today’s China.
