On March 21, 2024, the Society for the Analysis of Government and Economics (SAGE) hosted an online lecture entitled "Bounded Rationality and the Research Paradigm for Chinese Economics." This lecture was presented by Zonglai Kou, Professor and Deputy Dean of Fudan University's School of Economics and Executive Dean of the Fudan-Toulouse Institute of Innovation and Digital Economy. The webinar represented the eleventh installment in SAGE's Lectures in Government and Economics Series.

Speaker Bio: 


Zonglai Kou is professor and deputy dean of the School of Economics at Fudan University, and executive dean of the Fudan-Toulouse Institute of Innovation and Digital Economy. His research focuses on industrial economics, innovation and intellectual property, corporate finance, and digital economy. In addition to being selected for inclusion in several national-level talent programs, he has taken on the role of managing editor for the textbook “Chinese Microeconomics,” endorsed by the Ministry of Education for use in national curriculums and teaching materials, as well as serving as a member of the National Steering Committee for Graduate Education in Digital Economy, the vice president for the China Information Economics Society, and the deputy editor-in-chief for the academic journal Economic Modelling. Dr. Kou has published dozens of papers in both Chinese and English journals, such as Economic Research, Management World, Journal of Industrial Economics, and Journal of Population Economics, among many others. He has also headed a number of major national and provincial-level research projects, including in the social and natural sciences.
