The 5th China-Brazil Economic Development Strategic Dialogue Online Seminar successfully held

On October 26, 2023, the 5th China-Brazil Economic Development Strategic Dialogue Online Seminar co-organized by Tsinghua University's Academic Center for Chinese Economic Practice and Thinking (ACCEPT), the Brazil China Business Council (CEBC), the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) and Vale S.A. (Vale) was successfully held online.

Alexandre D'Ambrosio, Executive Vice President of Corporate and External Affairs at Vale, David Daokui Li, Director of Tsinghua ACCEPT and Co-President of the Society for the Analysis of Government and Economics, and Li Ke'aobo, Executive Deputy Director of Tsinghua ACCEPT, delivered opening remarks to attendees, respectively. Zhu Guangyao, former Vice Minister at China's Ministry of Finance, Zhang Xiaoqiang, former Vice Chairman of China's National Development and Reform Commission and Executive Vice Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Marcos Galvão, Brazilian Ambassador to China, Pedro Murilo Ortega Terra, Director of the Department for China, Russia and Central Asia at Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other esteemed guests delivered keynote speeches.

Notable panelists and moderators participating in the seminar's proceedings included Marcos Caramuru, former Brazilian Ambassador to China and International Advisor to CEBRI; Luiz Augusto de Castro Neves, former Brazilian Ambassador to China and President of the Brazil Chapter for CEBC; Mao Tao, Section Chief of the International Cooperation Department at the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation under China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Hsia Hua Sheng, Vice-President of the Bank of China Brasil and Associate Professor at the Fundação Getulio Vargas's Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV-EAESP); Larissa Wacholz, Partner at Vallya Consultancy and Senior Fellow at CEBRI; Shi Yixiang, Professor at Tsinghua University's Department of Energy and Power Engineering; Xu Xiang, Associate Professor at the Central University of Finance and Economics of China's School of Economics; Darrick Ma, Senior Vice President of Kuaishou and Head of Kuaishou's International Business Unit; and Tracy Xie, President of Vale China.
