A Seminar on the Impact of the U.S. Federal Reserve Policies

The Center for China in the World Economy (CCWE) of Tsinghua University hosted a lunchtime seminar and roundtable discussion about the U.S. Federal Reserve on April 6, 2011. Gregory D. Hess, Dean of Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Claremont McKenna College, made a presentation and then exchanged views and ideas with participants from the People's Bank of China (PBC), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing Normal University and Tsinghua University. The main topics discussed included the impact of U.S. Federal Reserve policies on the U.S. and world economies, how QE1 and QE2 will affect the U.S. economy and the future prospects of economic and financial relations between China and the U.S.
