Call for Papers & Panel Session Participation
The Society for the Analysis of Government and Economics (SAGE) and the Academic Center for Chinese Economic Practice and Thinking (ACCEPT) are happy to announce that the 3rd international conference on Government and Economics will be held on May 22, 2021 in Beijing, China. We will also celebrate the new launch of the journal: Journal of Government and Economics (https://www.editorialmanager.com/goveco/Default.aspx).The main goals of the annual conference are to deepen our understandings of the relationship between government and economics, and to promote studies on the incentives of government behaviors and impacts of government policy on the economy. The 1st conference was held on April 27, 2019.
SAGE (http://en.sage-econ.org) is operated by ACCEPT (http://www.accept.tsinghua.edu.cn) at Tsinghua University. The mission of ACCEPT is to advance the knowledge of the discipline of economics with proper consideration of Chinese economic thinking and practice. The focus of the Center's research is on the study of government and economics. Founded in April 2018, ACCEPT is led by its Director Professor David Daokui Li.
PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors are invited to submit completed papers. Papers will be selected by the Program Committee consisting of a panel of international scholars. Please submit your papers in electronic format (PDF files only) to accept@tsinghua.edu.cn. Paper submission deadline is April 30, 2021. The submitting authors will be notified of the Program Committee's decision by May 7, 2021 via emails.
We will provide recommend 2-3 papers to be published in the Journal of Government and Economics (https://www.editorialmanager.com/goveco/Default.aspx). More detailed information on publication will be released during the annual conference.

Papers related to government and economics in English or Chinese are welcome. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Government behavior and enterprise development
• Government behavior and market cultivation
• Government governance ability and macroeconomic regulation
• Government behavior and land supply and transfer

• Government functions and public goods

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS (to be invited)
Eric Maskin.
Eric Maskin is the Adams University Professor and Professor of Economics and Mathematics at Harvard. He has made contributions to game theory, contract theory, social choice theory, political economy, and other areas of economics. In 2007, he was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics (with L. Hurwicz and R. Myerson) for laying the foundations of mechanism design theory.
Nicholas Stern.
Nicholas Stern is the IG Patel Professor of Economics and Government, Chairman of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and Head of the India Observatory at the London School of Economics. He is also the Chair of the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy, President of the Royal Economic Society, and Co-Chair of Global Commission on the Economy and Climate.
