【嘉宾简介】 

巴里·艾肯格林（Barry Eichengreen），现任美国加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校George C. Pardee与 Helen N. Pardee经济学与政治学讲席教授及杰出教授。他同时担任美国国家经济研究局研究员，以及英国经济政策研究中心研究员。1997年至1998年期间，曾任国际货币基金组织高级政策顾问。艾肯格林教授于1997年当选美国艺术与科学院院士。他曾获得古根海姆基金会研究奖学金和富布赖特奖学金，并曾担任美国行为科学高等研究中心和德国柏林高等研究院研究员。此外，他还是国际评论平台Project Syndicate的长期月度专栏作家。

他的代表性著作包括：《跨越国界的货币：从克洛伊索斯到加密货币的全球货币史》，《民粹主义的诱惑：现代经济怨愤与政治反应》，《全球货币如何运行：过去、现在与未来》，《韩国经济：从经济奇迹走向可持续未来》，《人民币国际化：成就、前景与挑战》，以及《镜厅：大萧条、大衰退与历史的借鉴及误用》。

艾肯格林教授于2002年荣获美国经济史学会Jonathan R. T. Hughes卓越教学奖，并于2004年获得加州大学伯克利分校社会科学学院杰出教学奖。此外，他还获法国巴黎美国大学授予荣誉博士学位。

Barry Eichengreen is George C. Pardee & Helen N. Pardee Chair and Distinguished Professor of Economics and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has taught since 1987. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (London, England). In 1997-98 he was Senior Policy Advisor at the International Monetary Fund. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (class of 1997). He has held Guggenheim and Fulbright Fellowships and has been a fellow of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (Palo Alto) and the Institute for Advanced Study (Berlin). He is a regular monthly columnist for Project Syndicate. His books include Money Beyond Borders: Global Currencies from Croesus to Crypto (2026), The Populist Temptation: Economic Grievance and Political Reaction in the Modern Era (2018), How Global Currencies Work: Past, Present, and Future, with Livia Chitu and Arnaud Mehl, (2017), The Korean Economy: From a Miraculous Past to a Sustainable Future (Harvard East Asian Monographs) with Wonhyuk Lim, Yung Chul Park and Dwight H. Perkins, (2015), Renminbi Internationalization: Achievements, Prospects, and Challenges, co-edited with Masahiro Kawai, (2015), Hall of Mirrors: The Great Depression, The Great Recession, and the Uses-and Misuses-of History, (2015). He was awarded the Economic History Association's Jonathan R.T. Hughes Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2002 and the University of California at Berkeley Social Science Division's Distinguished Teaching Award in 2004. He is also the recipient of a doctor honoris causa from the American University in Paris.
